After the Broken Heart

It has been awhile since I've blogged, but here I am again with a piece I am really excited about. This piece represents the 3rd in an upcoming series I am calling "After the Broken Heart." It will be a series of three, so I have obviously begun with the last one. Well, my mother told me I learned to crawl backwards first, and I guess things haven't changed substantially. But look how well Steven Covey has done, telling people to begin with the end in mind ...
Anyway. This pendant is constructed of sterling silver and 24K gold. It is pierced, fabricated with spacer rivets and Keum Boo. (This is the process of fusing the 24K gold to the fine silver in the sterling.) The back is filled with transparent resin in a kind of blue-magenta, surrounding a golden lotus. I am rarely so excited about my own work, so I couldn't wait to get this one up on the blog site.
